Yet another picture of :iconblix-it:'s adorable Skittlez, who is so much easier to draw/paint with pink hair and Photoshop. @_@

...Well okay, this is more of a low resolution painting sketch, but it is adorable!

While painting it I learned that I am so not used to digital painting anymore, and watercolor is a whole lot easier to work with when it comes to making something look good and have any sort of texture. @_@

I've been working with traditional media so long now that I've completely forgotten how to work digital properly; though having layers and the undo command are so nice. (I missed those so much)

Sigh, I really love traditional media, but there are somethings you can only really do digitally.

...That said I'll have to revisit this painting again sometime and redo it; only next time with a higher resolution and a better idea of what I'm doing. (the background was going to be sunflowers; and then it became the colorful blobs you see now)

Yes this is how I've felt about achieving fast color mixes and textures. oAo But then, I discovered paint tool sai! O_O It mixes colors with texture so much more beautifully than photoshop has ever done for me! I bet you'd like Sai.

I've started playing with Sai. Its weird, and fantastic, and I kind of like it. :D ...Just need to find the time to really play with it. >_> (...I may have started some more skittlez fanarts in sai -for practice- that need finishing...)
