2015 was a weird year.
It began with my family getting a third cat (a very ill feral kitten rescued from our garage...who is now a happy and healthy cat who likes to get head scratches from his humans), and ended with my computer dying. ...again.
2016...is promising to be even weirder.
There are several things I've decided to do this year; and most of them are big and scary but exciting at the same time.
#1: SECRET PROJECT OF SECRETS
....this thing is a big project. Its an exciting project. Its something I've wanted to do for YEARS. And is something I have tried doing many times, without much success.
Those lovely handful of people who know me very well will probably know what this secret project is. ...the rest of you can make wild guesses in the comments.
#2: LESS CONVENTIONS
LE GASP!
The long story short is that 2015 was a very busy year, and I'm just a touch burnt out on doing conventions. ...and well my SECRET PROJECT OF SECRETS has been paitently waiting for me to be done with conventions, and commissions, and family health stuff, so I could have time to work on it in a more focussed manner.
So, instead of doing every single convention I get accepted to this year (like I did last year...) I'm only going to be doing 5 of them.
...so far, I have no conventions that I will be selling at just yet, but I'll be sure to post about them later.
#3: MORE ARTWORK
Well more finished artwork anyway.
Because of the large number of conventions I did last year, plus other fun happenings in my life, I didn't make a lot of art. ...or at least not a lot of finished stuff. I did fill a LOT of sketchbooks though.
This year I want to change that. I want to turn a lot of my loose sketches from last year into finished paintings. (to push myself in areas of: value, and composition, and color)
#4: Patreon???!!!
I have a lot of sketchbooks.
All filled cover to cover with art that few people have ever seen. ...that perhaps more people would like to see.
So here's an idea. A Patreon campaign, filled with pages from my sketchbooks, works in progress, and early releases of any new artwork I make. (...and pictures of my three adorable kitties)
The sketchbook pages would be exclusive to Patreon, as would the works in progress. The new artwork would be released for free on DeviantArt after a certain amount of time. (couple of days to a week) But the rest will be locked behind the paywall.
Would anyone be interested in this?
(I will be making a patreon someday. But if anyone wants to see my sketches maybe I could make a patreon sooner than later? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.)
....2016 is going to be weird, but exciting in all the best ways. There is a lot I want to do, and a lot more I've started doing that I can't wait to share with the world.
ps: my Etsy is always open, and if there's something you'd like as a print or a charm, let me know and I'll see what I can do to make that happen for you. [Etsy]

Getting back into the swing of things...?
Hi all...
2017 was a weird and ultra busy year for me, with 10 conventions, several illnesses, and a lot of stressing out over not being able to make much new art. :(
...what art I did make I kept mostly to myself, or only printed for conventions, as thoughts of making things exclusive to my (deeply in progress) patreon bounced around my head. >_>
But here we are, 2018! A new year, filled with new plans, the supplies to finally make what I want to make....and an almost terrifying lack of conventions on my schedule.
As of 1/8/2018...I have one convention that I will be at this year. Just one.
(everything else I've applied to either
A tiny Update! (conventions!)
Got back from Denver Comic Con (which was amazing) just in time to head into Crystal Mountain Pony Con.
I haven't been announcing any of the conventions I would be at this year because...up until just now I didn't know what conventions I would be doing this year. But now I know!
So here we go! My final 2017 convention Schedule!

At the End of a Wonderful Con Season...
And with Anime Banzai 2016 finished... My convention season finally comes to an end.
I had an amazing time at all of the conventions I sold at this year, met all sorts of amazing people, and got a chance to catch up with some wonderful friends.
I can't say much about my convention season for next year; as most of that is deep in the waiting for more info and planning stages; but I'm full of hope and can hardly wait for 2017 to get here!
Until then I have a few projects I'm working on (that I'll be properly announcing soon!) as well as a whole stack of new artwork to finally share on DeviantArt! :D
...and for anyone curious... I've been do
